Terms and Conditions

1. Application
These terms govern the sale by the Scriptorium am Rheinsprung, Basel, Switzerland, to you, the customer, of products for which you place an order that is accepted by the Scriptorium. No other terms and conditions shall apply. Your acceptance of the products shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of these terms.
All goods have been portrayed as accurately as possible given the change in medium. The image you see on screen will depend on your computer monitor settings. Consequently there may be some difference between the colours you see on screen and the product you receive.

2. Orders and prices
All orders placed by you are subject to acceptance by the Scriptorium. We reserve the right to make price changes without notice to take into account any changes passed onto us by suppliers, material costs and errors or omissions published on our website. In this instance we will inform you of the price change and ask you to re-confirm your order.
At our discretion and without assigning reason we may refuse or delay an order.

3. Shipping and Shipping costs
The Scriptorium will deliver orders worldwide, and we aim to dispatch items within 48 hours of receiving your payment. If the item you require is not in stock or is no longer available then we will contact you with the relevant information and estimated delivery details.
Regardless of the postage selection we will ensure all products are securely packaged and suitable for posting. We will not be responsible for goods damaged in transit.
In any case, the Scriptorium shall not be liable for any cost or damage caused by late or non-delivery of the products. Any delay in delivery of the products shall not give you a right to reject the products or cancel your order.
Any customs or import duties remain the responsibility of the buyer.

4. Payment
Our customers have the following payment options:
Euro Standard Bank Transfer to a German bank account, Paypal, Moneybookers, invoice (from the 2nd order), cheque or, by request, cash on delivery (COD) including the cod-fees.
You can choose your payment-option during the order proceed.
You must pay for the products at the time you place your order. The Scriptorium reserves the right, by giving you notice at the time you place your order, to increase the price of the products to reflect any increase in the cost to the Scriptorium which is due to any factor beyond its control.

5. Warranty/Returns
Subject to the limitations on its liability set out in these Terms, the Scriptorium warrants that the Products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of delivery. The Scriptorium shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, willful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions or misuse. If you notify the Scriptorium of a valid claim for a breach of this warranty within the one year period, the Scriptorium will replace or repair the product or refund the price of the product, at the Scriptorium discretion, but the Scriptorium shall have no other liability to you.
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase you may return it to us within 14 days for a refund. Please note that refunds will only be given on items which are returned in perfect condition, we would therefore suggest that you return the items in their original packaging.

6. Cancellation
You have the right to cancel your order under the Consumer Protection (distance selling) Regulations 2000. If you wish to cancel your order it must be done in writing within 7 days. If we have received your payment it will be refunded in full. Should the goods have been despatched then they must be returned at your expense within 10 days before refund will be made.
f for any reason you are unhappy with an item you may return it within 14 days for a refund provided the item remains in perfect and re-saleable condition. Postage costs are your responsibility.

7. Liability
Our liability except in the case of death or personal injury in this contract is limited to the purchase price of the goods and we will not be held responsible for any indirect or consequential loss of data, profit, revenue, income or business howsoever caused.

8. General
We reserve the right to make changes to our site and these conditions of use at any time. If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid or unenforceable for any reason, that condition shall be deemed not to form part of this agreement and the enforceability of the remainder of this agreement shall not be affected.

9. Privacy Notice
Any personal information held by us will be in confidence and will not be passed on to a third party.
